Luxury · 50-year warranty

Brava composite tile — the look of slate, cedar, or clay. None of the headaches.

A made-to-order composite roof that captures the character of natural quarried slate, hand-split cedar shake, or Spanish barrel tile — without the crushing weight of slate, the rot and moss of real cedar, or the fragility of clay.

Brava molds its tiles from real natural products, then makes them from recycled polymer — so you get the exact texture of split cedar or quarried slate at a fraction of the weight, and none of the maintenance.

Three authentic looks

Old World SlateThe depth and variation of natural quarried slate, without the structural weight or the risk of cracking underfoot.
Cedar ShakeThe rustic, hand-split texture of real cedar — that never rots, cups, or grows moss.
Spanish Barrel TileThe warm Mediterranean look of traditional clay, without clay's fragility.

What it's made of

Up to 85% recycled polymer, and fully recyclable at end of life. Color runs all the way through the tile (Brava's mineral-infused "Colorcast" process), not sprayed on top — so scuffs and decades of sun won't expose a different color underneath. Tiles ship as multi-color blends for a natural, non-repeating look, with custom colors available.

Fire ratingClass A (with fire-resistant underlayment) or Class C standard.

Warranty50-year limited (lifetime) warranty, transferable once within the first 25 years.

Why homeowners choose it

  • High-end curb appeal that reads as real slate or cedar from the street.
  • Won't rot, warp, or feed insects — the failure modes that plague real cedar in a wet climate.
  • Closed-cell structure limits algae growth and resists water absorption.
  • Class-4 impact stands up to hail and falling limbs.
  • Sustainable: recycled content and fully recyclable.

Honest trade-offs

  • It's a premium product — priced well above asphalt. This is the roof you choose for looks and longevity, not to save money.
  • Made to order — plan for a lead time; we confirm current timing before you commit.
  • Experienced installer required — Brava rewards careful, trained installation, which is exactly how we do it.
Perfect fit for the Pacific Northwest: real cedar looks beautiful for a few years, then our rain turns it into a rot-and-moss maintenance project. Brava gives you the cedar look permanently — no treating, no shake replacement, no moss.
