Roofing questions, answered straight.

The questions Pierce County homeowners ask us most — about cost, repairs, the install, materials, insurance and warranties. Don't see yours? Ask us.

Cost & estimates
How much does a new roof cost?

Most asphalt roof replacements in Pierce County land in the low-to-mid five figures depending on roof size, pitch, material and complexity. Our instant estimator measures your roof from satellite and gives you an honest range in about 60 seconds.

How accurate is the instant estimate?

It uses satellite measurements of your roof plus typical local pricing to produce a conservative range. Your exact price is confirmed with a free on-site inspection that accounts for existing layers, decking condition and penetrations.

Is the estimate really free with no obligation?

Yes. The instant estimate and any follow-up inspection are free, with no obligation and no high-pressure sales.

Repair vs. replacement
Should I repair or replace my roof?

If your roof is relatively young and the problem is isolated, a repair is the right call. If it's old, leaking in multiple spots, or already layered over, replacement usually costs less over time. Our free inspection gives you a straight answer either way.

Will you try to sell me a whole new roof I don't need?

No. If a repair genuinely solves the problem, that's what we'll recommend. We'd rather earn the replacement later, honestly.

Can you fix a leak quickly?

Yes. If water is getting in, call us — we can assess quickly and, if needed, get a temporary cover on it to stop the damage while the repair is scheduled.

The install
Do you tear off the old roof or roof over it?

We tear off to the wood deck every time and inspect for rot before the new roof goes on. Roofing over old layers hides decking damage and shortens the life of the new roof.

How long does a roof replacement take?

Most single-family homes are a one-to-two-day job once materials are on site. Larger or steeper roofs take longer — we give you a realistic timeline up front.

What makes your install different from a cheap bid?

Full tear-off, quality underlayment, ice-and-water in the valleys, new flashing, a real starter and ridge system, and balanced ventilation — the things a lowball bid quietly skips. See our how-we-install page for the full side-by-side.

Materials
What roofing materials do you install?

Value and premium architectural shingles (PABCO and Malarkey), standing seam metal, and Brava composite tile. The estimator prices every option for your specific roof.

Is metal roofing worth it here?

For a long-term home, often yes — it lasts 40–70 years, sheds our rain and snow, and won't hold moss. It costs more up front, so the math works best if you'll stay long enough to bank the extra life.

How do I stop moss from ruining my roof?

Keep trees trimmed for sunlight, treat moss early (never pressure wash), consider zinc strips, and choose algae-resistant shingles or a metal roof. See our roof moss guide for details.

Storm, insurance & financing
Does insurance cover a new roof?

It depends on your policy and the cause. Sudden storm, wind or hail damage is often covered; gradual wear-and-tear usually isn't — your adjuster makes the call. We provide free, documented inspections to support your claim.

Do you offer financing?

Yes — flexible monthly-payment options through lending partners. Terms depend on the plan and your credit, and we review the current options at your free estimate with no obligation.

What warranty do I get?

Two layers: the manufacturer's material warranty, plus our written workmanship warranty on the installation. Enhanced manufacturer coverage is available through certified installation.

Service area
What areas do you serve?

We're based on the Lake Tapps plateau and serve Bonney Lake, Lake Tapps, Sumner, Puyallup, Auburn, Edgewood, Enumclaw, Buckley, Orting and the surrounding Pierce County communities.

Do you do commercial and multi-family roofs?

Yes — apartments, condos, HOAs and light commercial, both steep-slope and low-slope, phased to keep tenants and businesses running. Call us for a site walkthrough.
